Knocksense Shorts | Animals at Indore zoo get sprinklers, water coolers as temperatures rise

Animals are at huge of risk of heat stroke as the mercury is expected to rise further in May-June.

As April nears closure, making way for May, temperatures across the country have already begun to shoot up. But for the animals at Indore zoo, the officials have made arrangements including coolers, water sprinklers and pools to protect the them from the risk of heat stroke.

Coolers have been installed for lions, tigers and marmosets while water pools have come up for animals like deer and peacocks. Furthermore, officials at Indore's Kamla Nehru Zoological Garden have also conducted a plantation drive to bring down the temperature a little and provide the animals some relief from the scorching heat.
