Students from Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) schools nationwide, including Indore, are set to observe Fit India Week from November 15 to December 15. The emphasis is on achieving a harmonious blend of exercise, fitness, nutrition, and meditation. As part of the sports week activities, students will engage in friendly sports competitions, meditation, yoga sessions, and take fitness pledges.
Indore schools have received guidelines to ensure the success of Fitness Week, with a particular focus on maintaining a ‘balance.’ In the upcoming Indore Sahodaya Complex CBSE schools meeting, various schools will exchange innovative ideas. The emphasis on ‘balance’ is seen as beneficial for mental health, aligning with advice from medical professionals, experts, and analytical educators.
CBSE Director (Academics) Dr. Joseph Emmanuel emphasized that, this year, Fit India Week is scheduled to be celebrated between November 15, 2023, and December 15, 2023. He mentioned that during this timeframe, schools are given the flexibility to select a week according to their convenience for arranging different sports and fitness activities. The overarching goal of this initiative is to foster a holistic approach to well-being among students.
