MP Tourism Department releases last date to submit entries for photography contest

Earlier in March, the Directorate of Archaeology, Archives and Museums, Madhya Pradesh started an Archaeological Monuments Photography Competition. Anybody, who has an eye for frames and a love for photography, is invited to take part in the competition. The contest is open for submissions now with the last date to make submissions set as April 13.

Multiple cash prizes for winners and runners up

Participants who photograph the historical monuments in Madhya Pradesh best will win the competition. The winner will be rewarded with a cash prize of ₹1,00,000 while the first and second runners up will be given ₹50,000 and ₹25,000 respectively. But that is not it, the best three contestants after the second runner up will be given a consolation prize of ₹10,000 each.

How to make an entry?

Interested participants can make a submission in the photography competition online. As per the official announcement, a contestant must fulfil the criteria provided by Madhya Pradesh Tourism (MPT). Listed below are some major criteria, for more information about the eligibility and making a submission, visit the official website.

  • All the photographs must be clicked by DSLR.
  • Each candidate can submit a maximum of five pictures of different monuments.
  • The photographs must be in JPEG format and the file size for the images must not exceed 4 to 5 MB.
