Solapur Division mega block impacts all direct trains from Indore to Daund

The Mega block led to the cancellation of four trains between Indore and Daund

Due to the Solapur Division mega block, the operation of four trains between Indore and Daund has been affected. These trains will stand cancelled on different dates and locations. Passengers travelling between Indore and Daund will be most impacted by these changes. It has been informed that, the block has been proposed due to the ongoing construction on a Road Overbridge (ROB) at the Central Railway’s Solapur Division’s Daund yard.

List of affected trains

The following trains have been affected due to the mega block:

  • Indore-Daund Express (Train No. 22944) will only run from Indore to Pune Station from May 12 to May 28. It will remain cancelled from Pune Station to Daund.

  • Gwalior-Daund Express (Train No. 22194) that was scheduled to run on May 14, will terminate its journey at the the Pune Station instead of going all the way to Daund.

  • Daund-Indore Express (Train No. 22943) that starts from Daund will now start from Pune Station instead. This change will be applicable from May 13 to May 29.

  • Daund-Gwalior Express (Train No. 22193) that was scheduled on May 15 will also start from Pune station instead of Daund.

Passengers who wish to travel all the way to Daund can reach there by road within 12 to 13 hours. Another option to travel to Daund is to travel via train or flight to Pune and then reach Daund by road in 2 to 3 hours.
