Old Stadium Makes Way for a Modern Sports Complex

The upcoming sports complex, replacing Nehru Stadium, will not only include the main stadium but the other smaller Nehru Stadium and the land of the municipal zone office will also be demolished to provide appropriate space for each and every sports activity. An international standard swimming pool will be a prominent feature of the complex, catering to swimmers of all levels.

The implementation of this project has already commenced and the responsibility of executing this initiative rests with the Smart City Corporation. The municipal corporation is determined to expedite the planning process and aims to finalize the blueprint within the next three to four months, ensuring that the "Bhoomi Poojan" ceremony takes place within the current year. This proactive approach demonstrates the commitment of the authorities to deliver the new sports complex at the earliest.
