A vibrant display of Indore's rich art, craft, culture, and splendor, the Vishwam Swadeshi Mahotsav is here to cover the city-ites under a starry sheet of lights, music, food, and colourful handicrafts.

The event is taking place to embellish the on-going Pravasi Bhartiya Divas celebrations. PBD is welcoming some 3,500 diaspora members from nearly 70 countries.

Representing local artisans in a fleet of shops, this cultural extravaganza has been decked up to suit visitors and tourists of all kinds. It is diverse in nature, full of cultural tokens, and implemented in the most royalty it can be. Continuing till till January 13, the fest is open for all and can fulfill your 2023 shopping goals!

Vocal for local

Besides indigenous goods campaigning for 'vocal for local' amongst an enthusiastic crowd, cultural performances including Malvi dance, bhajan offering, Nimari folk singing, Yoga dance, Malla Kham, Kavi Sammelan, Bhagoriya dance, Malvi Natya Manchan, and so on will adorn the Vishwam Swadeshi Mahotsav in Indore.

The food stalls also offer region-specific food Dal Bafle, Maize, Jowar, Dal Paniya, Bajra Ki Roti, and more. Moreover, sweets, namkeens, handicrafts made by tribals, Bagh-printed handweaves, will also be on the display here.

The NRIs can experience the local culture by learning about various processes that will be displayed at the affair like jaggery making, handloom cloth making, oil making, buttermilk and ghee making, and so on.

Revisit the culture of Malwa-Nimar region

Basically, the objective of the festival is to revisit the culture of Malwa-Nimar region. The Malwa-Nimar area, situated in Madhya Pradesh, stands apart for its unique regional culture, that engulfs elements of both tribal MP and Indian cultural history. It is the amalgamation of a multitude of religions and faiths, merging to form an aberrantly vibrant culture.
