Western Railways adds new superfast train service from Indore to New Delhi

Adding to the list of trains running between Indore and New Delhi, Western Railways announced a special superfast train service between Indore and New Delhi. Reportedly, a total of 8 trains will ply between the two cities. The new trains are aimed at reducing the passenger counts and logistical burdens on existing trains.

Indore to New Delhi is just 9 hours via train

Western Railways, a division of Indian Railways flagged off the superfast train service from Indore on August 24. Reportedly, the Indore-New Delhi Superfast Express will run three days a week.

At present, there are a total of 8 trains that run between the two cities, of which only 2 trains, INDB-NDLS SPL and Malwa Express run daily, while the remaining trains run once or twice a week.

As per the press release, the train will pass through Barnagar, Ratlam, Nagda, Ramganj Mandi, Kota, Sawai Madhopur, Bharatpur, and Mathura stations.

Train no: 20957 - Indore-New Delhi SF Express schedule:

  • Departure: 16:45

  • Arrival: 05:05

  • Running days: Wednesday, Friday & Sunday

Train no: 20958 - New Delhi-Indore SF Express schedule:

  • Departure: 19:15

  • Arrival: 06:45

  • Running days: Thursday, Saturday & Monday

Sleeper fare: ₹465/-
