Reportedly, the officials were working on plans to construct a new barrack in place of the old one and therein, the suggestion to use its rocks and iron from it cropped up. Moving forward with the project, the foundation stone for the cafe was laid by a retired ASI in March and now, the joint is finally ready in a period of 5 months.

Due to the cafe's position, it has been named Bunker Cafe based on the army nomenclature. This name has been carved on a special wooden block. Besides, reports state that the surrounding campus also houses a water harvesting system.
