Ushering a special facility for the Jaipur Police personnel, a unique Bunker Cafe has been established at the premises of Reserve Police Lines, located in Chandpole. Placed 6 feet underground, this amphitheater-style cafe has a design that resonates with the eco and techno themes, reportedly. Equipped with Wi-Fi and other techno-friendly amenities, the cafe has been constructed without disturbing the ecosystem of the place and the planted trees have been kept intact.
A part of the extensive beautification project for the Police Lines
This underground cafe is also equipped with nearly 30 charging points, which would enable the police officials to charge their mobile devices and laptops. While the police personnel can sit and work at this place, it can also be used for organising family parties. As per reports, the Bunker Cafe is part of the beautification project recommended by two architects, Anil Kumar and Rakesh Kumar.
Rocks & Iron from the old barrack used for the cafe
Reportedly, the officials were working on plans to construct a new barrack in place of the old one and therein, the suggestion to use its rocks and iron from it cropped up. Moving forward with the project, the foundation stone for the cafe was laid by a retired ASI in March and now, the joint is finally ready in a period of 5 months.
Due to the cafe's position, it has been named Bunker Cafe based on the army nomenclature. This name has been carved on a special wooden block. Besides, reports state that the surrounding campus also houses a water harvesting system.
