Marking the highest single-day spike in six months, 46 people tested COVID positive in Jaipur on Sunday. As per reports, in the last 24 hours, 62 fresh coronavirus infections were reported in Rajasthan. Amidst the rising scare of Omicron-led third wave of coronavirus pandemic, the incraese in fresh cases across Rajasthan has raised an alarm for all. 317 people tested COVID positive in Jaipur since Dec 1
After reporting 55 cases on June 19, 2021, Jaipur marked the highest-ever fresh cases on Sunday. Notably, out of the total cases marked on Sunday, only one was detected in a rural area of Jaipur. All the other 45 cases were reported from urban areas like Vaishali Nagar, Durgapura, Sodala, Mansarovar, Malviya Nagar, Sea Scheme, Ajmer Road, Galta Gate, Tilak Nagar snd Lal Kothi among others.
According to the data by health department, a total of 317 people have tested positive in Jaipur alone out of which, 28 cases were found Omicron positive. With the rising graph of COVID infections, Jaipur is on the verge of becoming a hotspot of this coronavirus pandemic in Rajasthan.
Active COVID count in Rajasthan stands at 318 cases at present
Apart from Jaipur, four people tested COVID positive in Udaipur while three people contracted the virus in Bikaner and Ganganagar each. Additionally, Ajmer, Jodhpur and Pratapgarh recorded two new cases each whereas one case was marked in Sikar and Jodhpur as well. With the additional cases detected on Sunday, the tally of active case count in the state stands at a total of 318 as of now, informed a health official.
