To make your travel easier and hassle free, the Regional Transport Authority will segregate e-rickshaws in Jaipur according to zones. This will help manage traffic better, with lower road congestion and give people designated areas to take rickshaws from. The areas will likely be disclosed and implemented by January.

The Regional Transport Department, Municipal Corporation along with Traffic Police Departments are working together to identify parking zones for the 20,000 e-rickshaws on the city roads. Popular market roads in Jaipur like Ramganj, Manak Chowk, Ghat Gate and Badi Chauper face a swarm of e-rickshaws daily, forcing the traffic to move at a snail’s pace. Further, officers cannot issue challans to e-rickshaws, therefore their enforcement powers are quite limited. Designated zones will help create a system where both the administration and public can reap the benefits.
