Bringing in slight respite from heat, several parts of Rajasthan experienced partly cloudy sky with the possibility of rain, thunderstorms and/or dust storms. The changes in weather are being attributed to the active western disturbances and upper air cyclonic circulation.

Districts like Ajmer, Bharatpur, Jaipur, Kota and Udaipur experienced mild showers, with the wind speed of 50-60 kmph. Despite the pleasant changes in Rajasthan's weather, temperatures at 5:30 pm all over the state hovered around 31-42°C.

Mild showers & thunderstorms in Jaipur

On Monday, residents of Bikaner, Sriganganagar, Ajmer, Tonk and Bundi among others woke up amidst heavy dust storms and cloudy conditions and a considerable dip in temperatures by 2-5°C. According to IMD, Jaipur, Bhilwara, Tonk and Bundi also experienced hailstorms.

While Jaipur and Udaipur logged in a pleasant temparatures of 31.6°C, Sriganganagar and Jodhpur recorded slightly higher temperature of 35°C and 35.8°C each. This was followed by Churu and Bikaner at 37.6°C and 38°C respectively. Even as the winds swayed and rain fell, Jaisalmer recorded a cruel temparature of 42.4°C
