After remaining closed for several months due to the pandemic, the Education Ministry of Rajasthan has now reopened schools for classes 9th to 12th. Mandatory protocols include wearing masks and maintaining social distancing in the premises, according to the Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) issued by the state government.
Monthly tests to commence for classes 9 to 12
The syllabus of Rajasthan schools will also be reduced to 70%, to ensure the completion of the course structure for classes 9 to 12 and the performance of all students will be assessed via monthly tests. This is formulated as a precautionary measure in case the examinations for classes 10th and 12th are cancelled, in light of the ongoing pandemic.
Students to chose between offline or online classes
Keeping in mind the possibility of a third wave hitting the country, the education department has prepared the guidelines and all schools must follow the protocols. The SOPs entail that it is mandatory for all teachers and staff members to be fully vaccinated before entering the premises. In case parents are hesitant to send their wards to school, the students can opt for online classes as per the SOPs.
