The COVID active load in Rajasthan was restricted to a minimum count of 84 cases on Thursday, positioning it as the least infected state in India. While state capital Jaipur shoulders the maximum tally, with 44 ongoing cases, it is notable that around 19 of the 33 districts here nurse 0 active cases. Besides, Rajasthan is also yielding a high 99.1% recovery rate that has capped the death toll to zero virus fatalities for the last one month.
Safety protocols a must to build defence against the pandemic
According to the nationwide statistics of case tallies, Rajasthan on Thursday reported the least number of active cases. As per official records, Rajasthan’s COVID uptick included only 8 new detections in the last 24 hours. About 50% of these were reported in the state capital, Jaipur.
Besides this low positivity rate, a bolstered recovery trend is also visible in the state. Rajasthan’s CM has urged people to be cautious and follow all issued safety protocols to prevent any unprecedented spike of the virus. “If there is a slight carelessness, Covid cases can increase again. Therefore, it is very important to follow the COVID protocol such as wearing a mask, maintaining social distancing, etc,” he urged.
“So far, more than 4.55 crore vaccines have been administered to people of the state, including 1.10 crore people being administered two doses,” the CM added. He has also appealed to the public to get their anti-viral jabs on time and strengthen the state’s defence against the pandemic.
