As several states in India record a COVID-19 spike, the infection meter in Rajasthan has also started to register fresh infections in double digits, raising the pandemic concern here. As per reports, around 12 people testest coronavirus positive for the second day in succession here on Wednesday. This, gradually, is adding to the state's active load which stands at 82 patients as of now.

Jaipur yields the maximum cases & recoveries in Rajasthan

According to the official data records, state capital Jaipur added the maximum number of 3 cases to the state's daily tally. As such, the Pink City is also nursing the heaviest share of active patients across Rajasthan, with 31 people presently under the infection grip. Parallelly, the rate of recovery is also the highest here; around 8 recoveries were noted here in the last 24 hours, exceeding over the day's infection intake.

Besides Jaipur, two fresh infections were reported in both Jodhpur and Alwar, while Ajmer, Sikar, Pali, Jhunjhunu and Ganganagar added a single case, each. All other districts, except for these, reported a null COVID surge, marking the state's 0% transmission rate in the past week. The boosted recovery and reduced fatality count has also helped to stabilise the overall pandemic situation, added reports.

North India's 1st transgender health clinic opens in Lucknow

This facility will act as an integrated service delivery centre to ensure health & non-health related assistance to transgender people.

In a major move to assure basic healthcare facilities for members of the transgender community, North India's first transgender health clinic was launched in Lucknow, on Friday. The new service was inaugurated at Hotel Renaissance by Anita C Meshram, Project Director at Uttar Pradesh State Aids Control Society. This facility will act as an integrated service delivery centre to ensure health and non-health related assistance to transgender people, including the members of Hijras/Kinnar groups.

UP to soon get a new 200-acre-wide data centre park

The new data centre will come up in Noida's Sector-28

In a bid to cultivate Uttar Pradesh's commercial landscape, the state administration has planned to develop data centre park in Noida. This structure will reportedly spread over 200 acres of land at Sector 28 of the Yamuna Expressway Industrial Development Authority and attract investments from IT industry giants in India and abroad. The plan is expected to roll out by the end of August.
