Reel in the royal vibes at the 15-goal international polo match in Jaipur today!

Polo is not just a sport, it's a royal tradition in Jaipur and the city is all set to experience its magnificence with a 15 goal international polo match at RPC ground in Jaipur, on February 19 Saturday. This high-handicap face-off will have Team Watermate Stallions INDIA and Team DiaColor International playing for the highly esteemed HH Rajmata Padmini Devi of Jaipur International Shield today, at 4 PM today.

Jaipur is emerging as the polo hub of the country

In a country like India that is love with Cricket, it is difficult to culture a trend for other sports. However, the Pink City of Jaipur i fast emerging as a polo hub here. This is a great opportunity for young players to work on their careers. Jaipur Polo Player, Padmanabh Singh, from Team Watermate Stallions INDIA said that the goal is to organise as many as high goal international polo matches as possible.

The upcoming match is set to host various highly-skilled players, also known as high handicap which is a comparative rating of polo-playing skills bestowed by the USPA. These are expressed as goals ranging from -2 for beginners to a 10 for the most skilled player.

Seasoned polo players to play in Jaipur polo season

Some of the players participating in Team Watermate Stallions INDIA include Padmanabh Singh (+4 handicap), Col Ravi Rathore, VSM (Retd) (+3 handicap), Kuldeep Singh Rathore (+3 handicap) and Abhimanyu Pathak (+4 handicap).

Players in Team DiaColor International are Charlie Tighe from England (+2 handicap), Gonzalo Yanzon from Argentina (+3 handicap), Lance Watson from South Africa (+5 handicap) and Daniel Otamendi from Argentina (+5 handicap). Notably, the match will be played as part of the Jaipur Polo Season 2022.
