While 9th and 12th standard pupils will be heading to school from the 18th of January, medical, paramedical and nursing colleges are all set to open their doors from January 11. On Tuesday, the CM also mentioned that the students from the medical institutes would be connected with the corona vaccination process, which is why their classes are being started early.

A total of 50% of attendance will be marked on the first day while the remaining half will attend the class on the next day. Additionally, it has to be made sure that the teachers are well aware of the precautions needed, to keep a check on the transmission of the contagious virus. All the guidelines, ranging from the use of masks and sanitisers to social distancing, must be strictly adhered to.

Officials asked to remain vigilant regarding the mutant COVID-19 strain

Secretary, Medical and Health, Siddharth Mahajan stated that the total number of active COVID-19 cases reported on November 28 was 28,758 which had fallen to 8,189 on January 4 this year. On Thursday, only 100 patients tested positive in Jaipur while the state recorded 509 patients overall.

Meanwhile, the CM has also asked officials to remain vigilant regarding the mutant COVID-19 strain. "England has to announce another lockdown. Taking a lesson from it, we need to be extra alert," he said. The CM has even directed the state officials to send significant recommendations on this issue to the Central government. While the situation seems stabilized as of now, the citizens and the government, need to be aware before taking up any decision.
