The Rajasthan state cabinet imposed Section 144 in 11 districts on Saturday due to the perilous spike of the coronavirus infection. This decision grants Police the freedom to take action against an assembly of 5 or more people at a place.
No new restrictions imposed
In a bid to prevent social-crowding, a meeting chaired by the CM decided upon the imposition of Section 144 in the districts of Jaipur, Jodhpur, Kota, Ajmer, Alwar, Bhilwara, Bikaner, Udaipur, Sikar, Pali and Nagaur, which are reporting high number of new COVID cases. The meeting which included the Health Minister, Chief Secretary, Principal Secretary (Home), and Principal Secretary (Medical and Health) also concluded that no new restrictions, other than those of unlawful assembly would be levied, that is, the existing restriction will remain in effect without alterations.
Besides this, the government has also planned to continue the ban on all social and religious gatherings in the state till October 31. Wedding gatherings will be limited to 50 guests and those of funeral, cremations or burial will max out at 20.
To ensure proper surveillance and execution of the said norms and protocols, the administration would establish COVID war-rooms at the district and state levels which would work round the clock. Along with that, a helpline number, 181 will be launched by September 21 that will give COVID information to its callers.

All are requested to co-operate with the Government to arrest the spread of coronavirus. People are requested to not indulge in large gatherings and wear masks, practice social distancing and keenly follow the state devised protocol to fight the threat of this global pandemic.
