Sultanat at Fort-Jaipur truly exemplifies what dining like royalty feels like

Jaipur is the city of royals and often the grandeur of the city and all that it houses, becomes daunting. The beautifully planned and thought out lanes, the formidable forts and all the sandstone makes one wish that they too were a part of all the luxury that the city tells tales of. If you wish to feel like poper royalty and dine like one as well, head to Sultanat Cafe in the Fort, near Malviya Nagar, Jaipur.

Borrowing a leaf from the charm and the grandeur of Jaipur, Sulatanat is designed to replicate the age old forts and their natural charm. The cafe, much like the rest of “Fort” seems to be cut out of natural yellowish sandstones. The cafe doesn’t boast of an elaborate decor other than the luxurious furniture, the natural splendour and the golden sheen.

The cafe is divided into big sections, so you also have the option to pick the section you wish to be seated in.

Apart from the stunning interiors, the cafe also serves delightful food. The cafe is purely vegetarian, but the selection and quality of food they offer is remarkable. From your basic cafe grub including fresh brewed coffee, creamy Italian pastas, fresh pizzas, burgers, nachos, salads and more, Asian staples such as spring rolls, kung pao chicken, stir fried noodles and Thai green curry to the desi staples such as zafrani paneer tikka, dal makhani, rajwada paneer passanda, the cafe has it all.

We would especially recommend the pizza, fort dum biryani, maharaja burger and the penne arrabiata.

They also have a full bar menu available, so if you decide to amp up your time a bit take a peep at the bar menu and order yourself some madira.

It is also noteworthy that Sultanat is a favourite in Jaipur, people line up and wait for hours to get a seat into the cafe. So if you’re planning to visit it, make sure to call in and book a table in advance, especially during the weekends.
