The ‘DigiGaon’ scheme under the umbrella of the Digital India campaign, is expanding its services in all Gram Panchayats of the Rajsamand district and soon, the public can avail its benefits. With the introduction of the Common Service Centres (CSC), villagers will be able to reap benefits of the government schemes, right at home soon and in a transparent manner to maintain credibility. This is an initiative undertaken by the Union Government towards a digital revolution in rural areas and it will save time and money of the commoners, who now don’t need to leave their villages to travel to the city.
All 216 Panchayat Headquarters of Rajsamand district have been included
At the village Common Service Centres, banking facilities, passport photo, lamination, life certificate, insurance facilities, PM Kisan Yojana, rail, bus and plane ticket bookings as well as passport services and a computer education centre will be made available. Similarly, Kisan Seva Kendra, Ration Card, Jan Aadhaar Card, Residential Certificate, Caste Certificate, PAN Card, electricity payment, mobile recharge, Geo-map, photocopy, online medical consultation along with information on new or current schemes will also be availabe.
Notably, Rajsamand is the only district where the scheme is being implemented first. All 216 Panchayat Headquarters of Rajsamand district have been included under the Digi Gram Yojana. Work is about to commence at most Panchayat Headquarters and the district MP is personally guiding the concerned individuals regarding this scheme, by remaining in constant contact with CSC representatives through VC.
