Weather in Jaipur: Dip in mercury levels attract more tourists!

Jaipur is a well known tourist destination which attracts visitors from all over the globe. Now, with the recent dip in temperatures, people are flocking over in greater numbers to experience the royal city during the pleasant weather. What a respite from sightseeing during the sweltering heat!

In the city, the temperature dipped to as low as 7.6 degrees. And the plunging mercury boosted the number of visitors thronging the heritage spots. The city has also experienced some mild fog in the outskirts, but nothing to halt daily activities.

Tourists from China, USA, UK and other countries frequented spots such as Nahargarh Fort, Jal Mahal and Jantar Mantar. They were even spotted at the many food stalls in the Walled City market. The cool days and the warm heat of the sun was what drew them outdoors.

A downside of the booming tourist setting is in the massive traffic jams that will follow in its wake. The large number of tourist buses in the main city roads and old city roads will cause bottlenecks. A similar situation was tackled by the authorities last year and they have set up certain regulations in order to keep traffic moving, but we will have to wait and see how the rules help.

Locals have gone on to say that they are happy to see the tourist influx and are eager for them to visit and explore the city. Additionally, the nearby cities of Ranthambore and Sariska are also seeing more tourists coming in to pay a visit to these biodoversity hubs.
