41 districts in Uttar Pradesh declared COVID free

Reportedly, none of the 75 districts of Uttar Pradesh have recorded daily COVID cases in double-digits, lately

UP seems to be on a path to recovery, with 41 districts reported as COVID-free. Reportedly, none of the 75 districts in the state have recorded daily COVID cases in double-digits lately, suggesting a downward trajectory of this viral disease in the state. Owing to proactive initiatives like the aggressive 'Trace, Test & Treat', the state's positivity rate has dropped down to 0% in the last week, as per the official data.

Reportedly, the districts that have achieved this feat include Amroha, Ayodhya, Badaun, Baghpat, Ballia, Basti, Bahraich, Bhadohi, Bijnor, Chandauli, Chitrakoot, Deoria, Etah, Etawah, Farrukhabad, Fatehpur, Ghazipur, Gonda, Hamirpur, Hapur, Hardoi, Hathras, Jaunpur, Kanpur Dehat, Kasganj, Kushinagar, Lakhimpur Kheri, Lalitpur, Mahoba, Mainpuri, Mau, Mirzapur, Rampur, Sant Kabir Nagar, Shamli, Shravasti, Siddhartha Nagar, Sitapur, Sonbhadra, Sultanpur and Unnao.

Over 11.80 crore doses administered in the state so far!

Meanwhile, by strictly adhering to the time-tested strategy of case isolation and contact-tracing the administration continues to fight against this deadly virus. Moreover, with an alert community surveillance system, the state continues to ramp up the rigorous testing technique which has assisted in breaking the chain of infection with effective protocols in place. Additionally, by managing to restrict daily cases below 50 for more than 2 months, consecutively, the transmission levels in the state have also come down significantly.

As per the Health and Family Welfare department, Uttar Pradesh has administered more than 11.80 crore doses till date. While the authority has partially inoculated about 62% of its beneficiaries, more than 17% of the total eligible population for COVID-19 vaccination have already taken both the jabs. Moreover, what comes as another relief, as per the official data, is the recovery rate of UP that has been registered at 98.7%, at present.
