After the Post-Holi surge in Covid-19 cases, Kanpur DM Alok Tiwari has ordered 10 PM to 6 AM night curfew in the city from Thursday onwards. In the last 24 hours, 302 fresh Covid-19 cases were reported in Kanpur while 6002 positive cases were reported in UP.
Kanpur becomes the second city after Lucknow to impose night restrictions. The district officials have clarified that the movement of essential services and essential goods will not be hampered due to night restrictions.
With this, the district magistrate has also ordered closure of all schools till 15th April. However, all examinations will be conducted in strict compliance with the established COVID-19 protocol. The complete order of the DM is attached below-
