In a bid to impart practising civil engineers and architects with industry-grade skills and knowledge, IIT Kanpur has now launched a dedicated eMasters course in the field of ‘Sustainable Construction Practices and Project Management.
The program in such a discipline has been launched for the first time in India and could prove to be quite resourceful for working professionals in the long run because of its sustainability-backed approach.

IIT Kanpur is already running several eMasters courses in multiple disciplines. These online post-graduate level programs are offered by different departments of the institutions. Thus, all the eMasters courses offer a flexible approach for professionals to complete the degree between 1-3 years, at their convenience.
Notably, the new eMasters in Sustainable construction program will also follow a similar pedagogy and will be organized by the Department of Civil Engineering of IIT Kanpur.
In addition, the program aims to enhance the skill set of industry professionals in managing projects sustainably and effectively. This will enable them to ensure the sustainable use of resources, minimize energy requirements, and effectively manage the carbon footprint.
