At present, Uttar Pradesh has reported 4,47,383 confirmed corona cases and 4,04,545 have recovered as well. The state has observed 6,543 deaths as yet. Kanpur City has on the other hand, documented 27,027 covid positive patients and 23,819 have gone back home till date. The administration here also making efforts to educate the masses about the virus and all its various aspects. To promulgate it to the absolute ends of the city, the state government has also pulled in several government departments to carry out the task.

The number of covid deaths in the city is marked at 707 and last month, it was reported that as many as 78% of those who died in Kanpur, while undergoing Covid-19 treatment, expired due to other diseases (co-morbidities), which the virus aggravated. As per records, about 40% of the cases surged in the month of September.
