IndiGo to resume direct flight services from Kanpur to these 4 cities from October end

IndiGo is all set to resume direct flight services to cities Delhi, Hyderabad, Bengaluru and Mumbai from Kanpur's Chakeri Airport. Direct flights from Kanpur to Delhi will commence from October 31 while services to Mumbai, Hyderabad and Bengaluru will be initiated from November 1. Citizens travelling regularly on these routes can take a sigh of relief, as direct flight services which had been halted for a long time due to the pandemic, are now being revived slowly.

In view of the increasing traffic across cities, the Chief Strategy and Revenue Officer of the airlines, Sanjay Kumar said, "Owing to the increase in direct connectivity with the metro cities, these new flights will boost trade, commerce and tourism in the region."

Kanpur is now being developed under the Smart City project and improved connectivity will only help boost the process. Lakhs of people visit the city on an everyday basis for business and the resumption of direct flight services will surely bring them great respite.
