Nothing goes as well with rains as a strong cup of tea. Tea or Chai is our constant partner, while people drink ‘virgin mojitos’ to bear the harsh summer heat, we cut poison with poison and gulp down scalding hot cups of tea. Summers or winters, tea is something you never say no to, especially during monsoon. As soon as it starts raining we start craving for the rich amber liquid to touch our lips, and with the rain falling from above the tapris, gumtis and all roadside chai stalls, leave us stranded.
What do we do then? Where do we go? Well, thankfully enough, seeing our love of chai several tea rooms and tea cafes of sorts have opened up in the city, where you have the comfort of a cafe and the taste of fresh made desi chai. Chai-ology by Chai Walazz in Kakadeo is one such place and tis monsoon it will become “the spot” especially for the broke AF students.

Smack in the middle of the student hub- Kakadeo, the place is a godsend and we cannot get over the fact that a place so stunning serves such great tea.
The interiors here are quite funky, the exposed brick the graffiti on the walls and the rustic industrial furniture is something we have fallen in love with. The interiors are quite chill and especially cool if you want to hangout with the group and have some fun. The teas on display are ur favorite part!

You should obviously order the desi chai here and add any flavouring you like, pair that with maggi- masala, cheese or green chili. Do try the amazing selection of sandwiches here, the spicy bombay roadside cheese and the veg masala cheese are our favourite. If you’re in a mood to splurge the burgers and cheese nachos would be a very good idea.

You will also find a bunch of shakes here so if it is something you want to have. Go for the pleasant and refreshing green and herbal teas, if you feel a little angrezi at heart and pair the shiz up with a muffin.
