IIT Kanpur jumps 73 notches to bag the 277th position in the QS World University Ranking this year

IIT Kanpur now stands at Rank 277 in the QS World University Ranking, unlike the 350th position in the last edition.

In an astounding leap of excellence, the Indian Institute of Technology at Kanpur proved its mettle as one of the most dynamic educational academies in the world. The institute scaled over 73 ranks over its previous year's ranking in the index of best universities in the QS World University Ranking. In the 2021 edition, IIT Kanpur has bagged the 277th position, unlike its last year's rank of 350.

IIT Kanpur's takes a long step towards excellence

A comparative analysis of various Indian universities' performance with this year's ranking has revealed that the IIT's rapid stride, is unparalleled by any other college or educational body in the city. This rank upgrade was also noted in the national rankings as well. Amongst the top university in India, IIT Kanpur has been ranked at number 4, a rank higher than its erstwhile performance. This position is based on the employer reputation as judged by the 2021 ranking survey.

It may also be noted here that IIT Kanpur is also included in the list of top 100 universities across the globe, in terms of citations per faculty. Here, Kanpur's premier institute has bagged the 93rd position in the QS World University Ranking-2022.
