The Indian Institute of Technology Kanpur (IIT-K) has achieved under breakthrough in research. The premier institutes’ study of G protein-coupled receptors (GPCRs) and chemokine receptor D6 has shed some crucial light on the treatment of brain disorders like Alzheimer’s, Parkinson’s, and Schizophrenia.

This groundbreaking IIT-K biomedical research has already received due recognition with a spot in the prestigious international journal, ‘Science’. Furthermore, this research is also a massive leap for the country in the field of innovative research in the Biomedical field.
It is noteworthy that this research was a collaborative effort. The IIT Kanpur team worked with researchers from across the globe to make this possible. These include experts from the Republic of Korea, Japan, Spain, and Switzerland.
