425 recoveries surpass the tally of 84 fresh infections in Kanpur on Friday!

On Friday, only 84 new confirmed cases were reported after a long period of harrowing hikes and the active tallies have also considerably shrunk, standing at 2,122. Further, as per the latest reports released, this deadly contagion engulfed the lives of 6 people yesterday. The timely implementation of the public curfew in Kanpur, Lucknow and other districts of Uttar Pradesh, has contributed positively to the scenario.

425 people recovered in Kanpur on Friday

The second wave of the pandemic has started ebbing in Kanpur as the tally of cases has decreased significantly. On Friday, i.e., 21 May, only 84 confirmed cases have been reported and 425 people were discharged post-recovery. As a consequence, the tally of individuals who have recovered till now stands at 77,960.

Further, as per the latest reports released, 6 people lost their fight against coronavirus on 21 May. It is expected that the count of fatalities will decrease in the coming days. These updated statistics that are coming from Kanpur are a ray of hope during these tough times.

With Kanpur registering a decline in the number of active cases, the demand for oxygen cylinders has also decreased. Reportedly, the demand for oxygen refilling at Chaman Plant located in Dadanagar has reduced by more than 50% from 500-700 vessels to 250-200, over the past few weeks.

Kanpur Traffic Police announces road diversions at Mall Road in line with metro development work

Traffic will be regulated on the diverted route from 4 PM on Saturday to 6 AM on Monday.

The Kanpur Traffic Police Department has announced its road diversion plan to ensure glitch-free commute in the city during the course of metro development work. Reportedly, the Kanpur Metro Rail Corporation has decided to set up a cross-arm intersection at the Motijheel Station of the Priority Corridor. This ongoing construction work will stretch till 6 AM on September 27 and all vehicles passing through this site will be redirected.

UP to soon get a new 200-acre-wide data centre park
