Polling to happen through February, March
UP has a total of 403 assembly constituencies. To ensure efficient elections, these have been divided into 7 groups, each of which will vote on a particular date. Out of these, the first 5 phases will happen in February and the last 2 will happen at the beginning of March. Consequently, counting will take place on March 10.
Voting is not just the right but a duty of each and every citizen of this country. We urge all our readers to vote sincerely in these Assembly Elections and play their part in the democratic process.
If you are a resident of UP and are eligible to vote, but do not hold a Voter ID card yet, you can get yourself registered by filling out Form 6 on the Election Commission's website. Following this, your name will automatically be enrolled at your local polling station.
