Kanpur's Chhatrapati Shahu Ji Maharaj University slates term-end examinations from July 16

The CSJMU in Kanpur is likely to begin admission procedure from Monday.

The progression of the activities at the Chhatrapati Shahu Ji Maharaj University, Kanpur is scaling in equivalence to the decelerating force of the COVID infection. The varsity's examination committee on Thursday, took a call regarding assessments and late on the same night, an admission committee meeting was held, in favour to begin the university application procedure from June 14. However, reports highlight that the final decision in this regard will be taken in an Executive Council on Monday.

CSJMU slates single paper assessment for each subject for exams 2021

The examination committee has slated the final assessments of CSJMU and its affiliated colleges from July 16 and these will continue for a period of 17 days. According to the announced timeline, the results will be declared on August 25 and the new session will commence from September 1.

Since the academic session has already been delayed due to the second wave of COVID spell, the examination committee on Thursday decided to schedule only one paper per subject, for the upcoming examinations. Normally, 3 papers (exams) are held for each subject. The council also opted for multiple choice question paper format for these assessments.

While several officials are have opposed this arrangement, arguing that it is not feasible or fair to combine the questions of three different papers into one examination, the government has approved the proposed pattern, the Vice-Chancellor informed. Besides this, the supplementary examinations for the failed students of 2020 have been scrapped. These candidates will now be promoted directly.

Admission Process to begin soon

The Chhatrapati Shahu Ji Maharaj University in Kanpur has prepared for the entrance examinations, a long time back but the administration was unable to draw a final conclusion given the pandemic rage. The CSJMU is now rescheduling its activities and procedures in view of the receding COVID tallies and the virus impact across all-district in Uttar Pradesh. Accordingly, interested candidates will soon be awarded the opportunity to apply.

The Head of the IT Department at CSJMU, Dr Rashi Agarwal informed that the link for the college application will be uploaded on the university's website. Interested candidates can get all the course-related information, including details about the syllabus, qualification, fees by clicking on a single link. She also mentioned that the university's website is presently under renovation, under the authority of the IT Department.

The criteria of holding entrance exams at CSJMU

CSJMU is one of the largest universities in the Kanpur district. This educational institute inducts an average of five thousand students, each academic year. The university offers as many as 50 courses, providing a catalogue of educational opportunities to its students.

As per the application procedure, an entrance exam is conducted only for those programmes which receive more applications than available seats. On the other hand, for courses that get less than or equal applications to the number of allotted seats, students are provided direct admission
