In a bid to augment Kanpur's inoculation program, the mega vaccination centre established at the Green Park Stadium is all set for amplified drives across 17 booths from today onwards. Reportedly, this initiative is targeted towards vaccinating a total of 3,000 individuals daily. For this purpose, two booths have been set up in New Player Pavillion while two spots have been designated in the Director Pavillion, as stated by reports. This adds to the count of 11 booths already functional in the stadium complex.
Focused programs to boost the scope of inoculation in the city
The newly instituted booths will aid in the vaccination of teachers and special sessions for guardians will also be implemented. With the facility of a token system at the main gate, the centre has a structured seating plan for the beneficiaries. It is aimed that people from different categories of senior citizens and youths will be given immunity booster doses at this center, now.
Reports state that vaccination drives were conducted across 11 booths housed in the VIP Pavillion at the centre, on Tuesday. While 10 booths were available for youths, the eleventh was reserved for immunisation of senior citizens. It has been reported that the recipients were also provided with a water bottle, on Tuesday. Further, wheel-chair-bound senior citizens were vaccinated within the stadium premises.
Selfie point, a hit amongst the beneficiaries
The officials have mandated that the focused drives must be managed and administered properly. All beneficiaries must adhere to the COVID-related protocol while venturing into the vaccination centre and social distancing norms must be strictly followed. As per reports, citizens are overjoyed with the selfie point set up at the centre. In addition to the life-saving jab, they are also taking back with themselves, memories for a lifetime.
