If you're someone who wants to take up a fitness challenge but does not have a lot of time, you definitely need to know more about this virtual marathon. Happening in Kanpur, India virtual marathon gives you the option to participate in an all-India marathon at your own time, own pace and your own place!

What's happening?

With an aim to promote a healthy lifestyle, a one-of-a-kind fitness marathon is being organised in Kanpur. This marathon is every aspiring fitness freaks dream come true. The All India Virtual Marathon/Cyclothon allows people to run, jog, cycle or walk a 21 kilometre goal in a set number of days. You can take up this challenge at any time and any place of your choice, be it a gym, a park, your home treadmill or your rooftop!

All you have to do is download any timing app from Google Playstore or Apple Appstore and reach the designated goal of finishing a specific distance by any means. Participants will have to record and share their cycling/walking/running/jogging time through the app. You can use apps including Strava, Runkeeper, Nike, Runtastic or any other application with similar features.

Knock Knock

The marathon/cyclothon aims to promote fitness in India and will be organised in 100 countries simultaneously. Once finished every participant will receive a participation certificate and a unique 'Save Water' medal.

All you have to do is share a screenshot of your Timing App on - Whatsapp 8097712656. 29th February has been set as the last date to register, you can share timing app screenshot till 15th March.

As per new orders by Kanpur Municipal Corporation, citizens will now have to inform the authorities before bringing home a pet. Those failing to do so will have to pay a hefty fine of ₹1200, irrespective of breed and size. The Municipal Corporation is also planning to bring pet clinics under the purview of the license.

Newly launched e-buses to connect Lucknow to nearby rural areas from October 25

The fares for the e-buses will range from ₹5 for 3 km to ₹37 for more than 25 km

The newly launched electric buses in the city will ply on a new route, connecting Lucknow to the rural areas around, starting October 25. New flights to ease connectivity from Indore to Mumbai, Ahmedabad, Delhi & Hyderabad from October 31

These flights are part of the winter schedule approved by the DGCA

As per the new winter flight schedule approved by the Directorate General of Civil Aviation, 25 new flight services will be started to ease connectivity from Indore to Mumbai, Delhi, Hyderabad and Ahmedabad. The daily flight movement between Indore and Delhi is set to increase with the induction of 16 new flights on this route. 10 new flights on both Indore-Ahmedabad and Indore-Mumbai routes along with at least 8 other services between Indore- Hyderabad, will also be functional from October 31.
