Traffic restrictions implemented for Bakrid Namaz in Kanpur; Here's a list of alternative routes

The Namaz procession is to start from 5 am onwards in Kanpur for the festival of Eid-ul-Adha, scheduled for tomorrow.

The festival of Eid-ul-Adha will be observed nationwide on June 29th. In the city of Kanpur, the Namaz procession for this auspicious occasion will commence at 5 AM. As a result, several traffic diversions will be implemented in Kanpur to facilitate the smooth conduct of the Namaz procession.

In order to facilitate the convenience of the public, the Kanpur Police has issued a comprehensive list of traffic diversions that will be enforced starting from 5 am tomorrow. The traffic restrictions will remain in effect until the conclusion of the Bakrid Namaz.

Here's a comprehensive list of traffic diversions and alternative routes

  • Vehicular movement will remain restricted between Lal Imli Chowk to Bajaria via the Colonelganj intersection. Vehicles can instead move directly towards Shani Dev Mandir Chowk from the Colonelganj intersection.

  • Vehicular movement will remain restricted between Gol Chowk and Eidgah Chowk via the Benajhabar intersection. Vehicles can instead take a left turn from the Benajhabar intersection and proceed towards their desired destination.

  • Similarly, vehicles moving from the 80 Feet Road will not be allowed to move towards Eidgah Chowk. Vehicles can instead move towards Rambagh Chowk, take a right turn towards the P-Road and head towards their desired destination.

  • Vehicles coming from Jarib Chowki (P-Road) will not be allowed to move towards Bajaria Chowk from Rambagh Chowk. Commuters on this route can instead take a left turn from Rambagh Chowk and pass through Brahmanagar Chowk to reach their desired destination.

  • Vehiclular movement will remain restricted between Chhah Bangaliya Chowk and Eidgah Chowk. Vehicles plying from the route can instead take a left turn from Shani Dev Mandir Chowk to proceed towards their desired destination.

  • Vehicular movement will remain restricted between Haleem College Chowk (Nala Road) and Bajaria Chowk. Vehicles can instead take a left turn from Sisamau Chowk and proceed towards their desired destination.
