NHAI has selected a construction company for building the Mandhana to Sachendi and Sachendi to Sarh segments on Kanpur’s outer ring road. It must be noted that the construction of the road is scheduled to be completed in five different phases, with the project expected cost around ₹5,100 crore.
Kanpur ring road will stretch across 93.2 km
Raj Corporation, the company chosen to work on the two above-mentioned segments of Kanpur’s outer ring road, will commence construction in June 2023. A total of 49 km of road will be constructed with these two segments while the total distance that Kanpur’s outer ring road will cover stands at 93.2 km.
It must be noted that the construction company to oversee work on the remaining three segments of the outer ring road in Kanpur is yet to be decided. Furthermore, the road will be constructed like a six-lane expressway while its structure will be like that of an eight-lane road.
