In a bid to foster multimodal connectivity across the city, the Mumbai Port Trust has tabled a bunch of projects to ensure bolstered infrastructure growth here. Proposed under the banner of the Gati Shakti Scheme, these plans aim to link two key features of the agenda, i.e cargo and sea tourism and build new amenities for the same. Reportedly, the installation of an Internation Cruise Terminal, a waterfront, a ro-pax terminal and the world's longest sea ropeway, among other provisions, are included within its scope.

Mumbai's Sion Flyover to remain shut on weekends till January 9, 2022 due to repair work

The Mumbai Traffic Police on Friday announced that the Sion flyover will remain closed every weekend, for the next three months, due to the repair work undertaken by the Maharashtra State Roads Development Corporation (MSRDC). The vehicle shutdown here will be clocked from 10 PM on Saturday to 6 AM on Monday, till January 9, 2022. Several route diversions have been put in place by the city traffic police department to allow an unhindered automobile movement during the closure, added reports. Check all alternate track here:

Amusement parks in Maharashtra to open for visitors from Oct 22nd

Newly launched e-buses to connect Lucknow to nearby rural areas from October 25

The fares for the e-buses will range from ₹5 for 3 km to ₹37 for more than 25 km

The newly launched electric buses in the city will ply on a new route, connecting Lucknow to the rural areas around, starting October 25. This will be the first time that such a service will be deployed in these areas, wherein commuters will be able to travel to and from the city, in the comfort of new state-of-the-art e-buses. The trials for the same are currently underway.
