LMRC admits to a faulty metro train; Govt may invite Farhan Akhtar to Lucknow for a metro ride next month

The excitement for the first metro ride in the city, turned into a question of safety and security when the metro abruptly came to a stop on the first and the third day. However, LMRC has now admitted to the fault that left people stranded for more than an hour and has said that the faulty train has now been parked in the depot for testing.

In the statement that LMRC’s MD Kumar Keshav gave to the press, he stated that the train that suffered a glitch was the fifth train which they had received. He pointed out that the train was not adequately tested on the 25 KV tracks by the Alston group and had directed the group to do all the dynamic testing before sending the trains to Lucknow

Currently, the waiting time at stations will be 11 minutes but in next two months, the waiting would be reduced to 7minutes.

Bollywood comes to Lucknow metro

Lucknow has recently become the chosen place for shooting of films, and very soon we will also be able to see our favourite actors travelling in it, as LMRC is now set to draft a celluloid policy, on the lines of DMRC and other metro corporations.

So far, LMRC has denied permission to Ajay Devgn’s Raid and Ayushman Khurrana’s Bareilly Ki Barfi, as no policy for film shooting has been drafted yet. Although, ahead of Farhan Akhtar’s new release, Lucknow Central, the government plans to invite him on a ride next month, when he visits

The government is mulling on inviting bollywood stars to take a ride on the newly launched metro in city. The initiative is aimed at popularising metro and the government may invite Farhan Akhtar next month for the same.
