About Rahul Subramanian

An engineer by profession but a stand up comedian by choice and by heart, he has been taking the Indian Comedy scene by storm since 2014. What tends to dazzle his audiences, is his ability to think on his feet and give quick and funny responses to his audience.

Apart from that, his funny and optimistic yet bleak outlook on life is something that makes him an instant hit with the audience. We are really excited to have him here in Lucknow and can't wait to see how his show is going to pan out- after all, it is one of the most unique ones yet.

Parents of students in Jaipur rejoice as the Rajasthan govt orders to waive off fees by 30-40%

The concerned department has also submitted a report with SOP guidelines to the Chief Minister's Office, requesting suggestions on reopening of schools from November 2.

Bringing a sigh of relief amidst the parents in the state amidst this ongoing pandemic, the Rajasthan government has ordered the CBSE affiliated private schools to waive off their tuition fees by 30% for class 9 to 12. Along with it, the schools which are affiliated with the state board, have to slash their fees by 40%, for the same grades.

Along side this, the Progressive Association School of Rajasthan, which filed a plea against the High Court's decision ordering 30% deduction in school tuition fee, was not in support of this conclusion. "This decision is not right, it is discriminatory. If it is implemented, we will go against it to the Supreme Court. How will the schools be able to pay salaries to teachers and staff if fees are slashed by 30 and 40 per cent?"

Pupils in Lucknow & other cities can now access Higher Education Digital Library at no cost

The students will have access to study material in English and Hindi prepared by best teachers of the state universities.

The authorities of Uttar Pradesh have launched a Higher Education Digital Library, that will help the students to access the best of related content, at no cost at all. Pupils who are admitted in higher education institutions in any part of the state or the country, will have access to the audio-video lectures and study materials, which have been curated by experts. Over 61,500 people have already visited the portal till now.

High onion prices in Goa make citizens teary; cheaper costs to be provided through PDS

As per reports, the authorities are in the process of sourcing supplies of onion via National Agricultural Cooperative Marketing Federation of India.

Indian kitchens are nothing without their basket of onions and it is a staple in almost everyone's regular diets. So when the prices of onions hit a staggering ₹80-90/kg, straight from ₹50-60/kg and even less in some areas, it left the citizens teary eyed. Keeping in sight the surging prices of onions in the state, Goa's Chief Minister on Wednesday stated that the vegetable which is an essential commodity, would be provided at a cheaper cost via the state's public distribution system network.
