School Children rejoice as cold wave extends their holidays; classes now to commence on the 13th

During winters, getting out of bed definitely becomes a task. The added pressure of getting ready on time while beating the chills, makes us desperately crib about it. Especially if you're a working professional, you can't really do much about it given that we all have adult responsibilities to undertake.

Sigh, only if we were school students again!

So like every year, this year too, due to the raging cold waves in Lucknow, the district administration has declared an extended holiday for school pupils from pre-primary till class 8. Read ahead to find out more!

The District Magistrate of Lucknow has issued an order, pertaining to the closure of all schools till the 10th of January, 2020. Since 10th is a Friday, the holidays have expanded till the weekends too, which makes 13th the final commencement date for all.

The holidays are applicable for children from the pre-primary level to class 8, which has rightfully become a reason for celebration amidst them.

Earlier this week, even the government schools comprising of classes from 1st till the 8th standard, were opening up at 10 am instead of 9 am, in the wake of lowered temperatures.

The weather department has predicted partly cloudy skies with a chance of rainfall or duststorms; so adults, get your jackets and raincoats out for this one!

This extended leave has clearly given us, adults, a major serving of nostalgia- when we could just stay in bed and not go to school, citing the same reasons. How we wish we could turn back time, to the good ol' days!
