The work is set to begin in 3 months.
The Lucknow Development Authority (LDA) is going to rejuvenate and beautify the historic lake situated at the centre of the Butler Palace Colony. A budget of about 5 crore rupees is being prepared for the work. The beautification process will begin in three months.
New project to reverse the deterioration
The eight-acre lake once used to be a major attraction for the people living around it. However, in the past decade, much attention hasn't been given to it and hence the condition has been deteriorating. At present, sewage waste is drained into the lake, causing water contamination and a bad smell. However, with this project, the authorities are aiming to breathe life into the lake, making it look more beautiful than it ever was.
Boating, walking track and much more to come!
