Bringing a bout of relief to the citizens, the Lucknow district administration has released a list of 24 private laboratories and hospitals in Lucknow, where COVID-19 tests can be undertaken. The DM of Lucknow issued this order and directed the listed establishments to resume testing, in wake of the swelling coronavirus infections plaguing the city. This decision has also come with revised costs of the testing procedure, thus marginally lightening the financial burden on the city folks.

Along with the list, the authorities have also released the revised costs of the COVID-19 testing procedure, with an aim towards making healthcare affordable at this urgent hour. The new rates of COVID test in Lucknow have been fixed at ₹900 for home collection of sample and ₹700, if the person visits the facility.
2,25,960 samples tested in UP on Saturday
As per reports, 5,461 fresh coronavirus cases have been identified in the city on Saturday but on a brighter note, the number of recoveries arched over the infected count. 5,799 people went back home after successfully defeating the virus. In the last 24 hours, the state has tested 2,25,960 samples and till date, 3,95,40,989 COVID-19 tests have been conducted.
With the resumption of testing in the state capital, it is expected that the tally of new COVID-19 infections will surge but that can be used as an advantage, to detect and demolish the spread of the virus at an early stage. This would also ensure that the victim receives timely medication and treatment, before snowballing to the critical stage or worse.
