Set up way back in 1961, Planters Tea Bar and Book Cafe is counted amidst the iconic establishments of Lucknow. Planters is a homegrown joint which brewed a steaming teavolution in Lucknow with over 150 sorts of tea and now, along with their Gomti Nagar outlet they've come up with another joint here in Mahanagar. Their jasmine tea and Irani chai are must-haves and even when it comes to the grubs, they've been nailing those too!

Chedilal Ramprasad Vaish- King of Shakes
One of the primary shake spots in Lucknow, Chedilal is one of the oldest too! Set up in the year 1922, the number of shakes served here has gone up from two to more than a dozen now. They offer thick shake flavours like litchi, strawberry, cold coffee but we'd specifically recommend you to try out the mango variant- you're gonna be blown away at the first sip!

Pack 'N' Chew
Pack 'N' Chew started as a small shack with a handful of employees, way back in 1999 on the bustling Vidhan Sabha Marg stretch. It had to shut after nine months of operations and with no place to shift, the kitchen then operated out of a garage for the next three months. But steadily, Pack 'N' Chew whipped up a name in itself and long story short, they are now counted amidst the iconic eateries of Lucknow. Their dehati mutton is absolutely finger lickin' and the butter chicken too, is a crowd puller!

GPO ke Dahi Bade
Started some 20 years ago by Sur Pal Singh, GPO Ke Thande Dahi Bade has stood its stance as a prominent shop selling the BEST dahi bade in town! It looks like an old puny kiosk which houses a few chairs and tables and honestly, the taste of their thande-meethe dahi bade makes up for the crammed ambiance. The dahi samosa here is also a mass favourite and the staff is confident that once you taste them, the deliciousness will pull you back in time and again!

Established way back in 1955, Wahid Biryani is another one of the legends of Lucknow. Their biryani is made with a combination of 55 ingredients and oldies say, they've maintained the same taste and quality till date. When here, also do try out the chicken boti kebab with paratha and embrace yourself for a burst of unfiltered Mughlai flavours.
Leaving Lucknow without a mouthful of the authentic Wahid Biryani, is surely gonna leave you with regrets and we're sure, you wouldn't want that to happen.
