6 lakh COVID-19 tests conducted in Lucknow; 53,900 confirmed cases in the city

Increased testing capacities is contributing to the decline in test positivity rate

Lucknow has been on a slow recovery roll recently, in contrast to the initial weeks of September where an average of 850-900 victims were being reported on a routine basis. As of now, the city has been recording around 500+ COVID-19 sufferers regularly, which isn't a negligible figure but it definitely is less than the previous statistics of 800-900 cases. Reportedly, the city administration has conducted 6 lakh Covid tests in Lucknow, which is being hailed as one of the major causes behind the decline in the number of positive cases.

4,10,626 Covid positive cases in Uttar Pradesh as yet

Increased testing capacities in the city, has led the authorities to identify and isolate the victims at a quicker pace. The relentless efforts of the medical departments have made Uttar Pradesh, the first Indian state to have conducted over 1 crore coronavirus tests. This is a much-needed facility here in the city as out of all the other places in the state, Lucknow has been the worst-hit urban area. Currently, the city has 53,900 corona patients and 718 fatalities in its record.

UP has observed 4,10,626 confirmed cases till now. An overall of 356826 patients have recovered yet the active cases tally in UP is marked at 47,823.
