With an aim to impart profound training in theatre, Bhartendu Natya Academy of Dramatic Arts (BADA) commenced systematic training in stagecrafton 5 April 1976. Popularly known as BNA, this academy is named after Bhartendu Harishchandra- the Father of Modern Hindi Drama and has been contributing to his memory by ornamenting the Hindi cinema industry with jewels from its stages. Today, in honour of World Theatre Day, we have curated a list of 7 graduates of BNA that have made a name for themselves in Bollywood with their dexterity and stroke of genius!
Knock Knock
Theatre and films are a technological extension of the Hindi quote- ‘Sahitya samaj ka darpan hai’ and these BNA alumni have been actively contributing their share to it, thereby taking the name of our city to new heights of fame and recognition. This World Theatre Day, we honour their contributions and hope that this list inspires others to pursue theatre as afull-time career.
