Get ready to embark on a journey of succulent kebabs, in the city of Nawabs.

When we think of Lucknow, it just feels like the whiff of hot kebab-parathas with sprinkles of nimbu alongside a serving of fresh pyaaz, has suddenly appeared out of the blue, just to tease our taste buds into giving in. Lucknowi biryani is surely a godsent palate pleaser but the royal combination of kebab and paratha, is the quintessential nawabi dish that the city is also tagged for.

So if you're in the city, during this pleasant chilly season, then you've gotta get out (armed with a mask and sanitizer of course) on a kebab spree. To ease your search, we have listed out 7 heavenly kebab destinations for a delicious winter ahead & you better bookmark this right away!

Naushijaan

Though Naushijaan is quite well known amongst Lucknowites, outsiders aren't really in the loop about this little gem in Lalbagh. Often, when it comes to eating kebab parathas, it boils down to either Tunday or Naushijaan. What sets Naushijaan apart from the competition is the somewhat flaky and crispy parathas that perfectly complement their Chapli Kebabs preparations, which are curated in Pashtun-style. The Pasanda Kebab on their menu, is a mass favourite as well.

Sakhawat

Since 1960 till date, this restaurant is running at Kaiserbagh Avenue near Gymkhana Club. Sakhawat's Galouti Kebabs come with an aromatic essence of smokiness, blended with spices and onions, which makes them the absolute heroes. This joint has even won international accolades, which surely tells you a lot about its popularity. A must visit for all foodies, Sakhawat makes you crave for more even if your tummy is about to explode with all their delicious food.

Kareem Kababi

Kareem Kababi in Aminabad, is one of those handful of places in the city where the kebabs can never disappoint. In fact, you could say that the kebabs here are fit for the Nawabs. In case you're here, we would suggest that you try the Galouti Kebabs, which will simply give your palate a much-needed kick of authentic kebab flavours.

Riyasat

Here at Riyasat, you can expect some melt-in-the-mouth kebabs and the variety, will keep you drooling! Their spicy yet irresistible Galaouti and Shami Kebabs are nothing short of revolutionary, so if you haven't been here yet, then head over immediately. Located at Nakhaas, amid old Lucknow, Riyasat is for hardcore meat hoggers and trust us, you would have no regrets!

Dastarkhwan

Bhuna Gosht at Dastarkhwan

Nothing better than a pleasant winter afternoon or an evening with friends, hogging on kebab-parathas at Dastarkhwan while stirring up nostalgia. If your heart is all for Boti and Shami Kebabs, then their outlet situated near Tulsi Theatre, would heed to your needs like no other. But if you're a Kakori Kebab fanatic, then you've gotta find your way to the outlet which is located near the Islamia College locality in Lalbagh, where they sell this delicacy on selected days only.

Lebua

Azrak by Lebua

Azark in Lebua, is famous for their Dum Ghosht Majlisi Kebab, which is an exotic preparation of marinated minced meat, sealed in sheermal and prepared in earthen pots, preferably on woodfire. So if you're feeling fancy and want to have a taste of something beyond the generic selections, then give this place a try! We also love their Gosht Dora Kebab, which is simply unmatchable.

Tunday Kababi

A very obvious choice, the OG kebab joint for which the city is globally famed, Tunday is an emotion for us! It has also hosted Gordon Ramsay, Naseeruddin Shah, amidst other celebs and we all know surely know why. Honestly, words are never enough when we speak of this place or try to describe their Galouti Kebabs, paired with warm and flaky parathas. Minced and seasoned to perfection for a heavenly treat, the galawati experience here will have you speechless.

Knock Knock

Now that we've listed down these 7 kebab spots in Lucknow, you've gotta try 'em all! Plan your weekend brunch with the squad or just a late night dinner session with bae, at any of these places and you'll get a taste of the city's culture, like never before.
