Lucknow's Aaghaz Foundation is heralding an age of educational equity through its 16 scholarships

Presently, applications for three out of their sixteen scholarships are open.

With the aim of ensuring that the children from underprivileged backgrounds are empowered through education, Aaghaz Foundation was established in 2004. Empowering girls and boys with their best capabilities through scholarships and other educational initiatives, this Lucknow-based non-profit organisation has helped over 16,000 needy children. Currently, applications for their Aisha Begum Memorial Scholarship and other endowments are open.

Giving children wings to fly

For over a decade, Aaghaz Foundation has identified bright students from low-income families and furthered their academic dreams through financial assistance. Presently, applications for three out of sixteen such scholarships are open, namely- Shamim Jahan Scholarship, Razia Rahman Memorial Scholarship and Aisha Begum Memorial Scholarship. While some of these scholarships give preference to female candidates, they all give wings to the dreams of young children.

Apart from monetary endowments, Aaghaz Foundation has tied up with Rahmani 30 to open learning centres across Uttar Pradesh where students will be coached to crack tough exams like JEE and NEET. Further, since 2011, their free-of-cost Lucknow Guidance and Coaching Centre (LGCC) is helping disadvantaged students clear banking, railways and other exams that provide employment opportunities.

More of an enabling agency than an implementing agency, Aaaghaz Foundation has surely embarked upon a stellar journey for a noble cause.
