People of Lucknow, you need to take note and be cautious, for the Lucknow Traffic Police is conducting a major traffic check in the city. These checks are random and will be conducted throughout the city for the next few days.
So any-one who has been driving without a helmet, licence, a functional head light, sorry to break it to you, your time’s up!

While going to work this morning via our usual route, we made our way in front of FUN Mall and were surprised to see that the entire stretch of road was blocked by several traffic police officers, with proper barricades and stop points. They were thorough in their inspection and were handing tickets left and right. When we inquired about what was happening from an officer, we were told that this is a part of a city wide checking drive. The officer added similar inspections are to be conducted throughout the city for the next few days.

Traffic in Lucknow has been seeing major upgrades since the last month. The government has introduced many new steps to ameliorate the difficult traffic situation in Lucknow. From the construction of three new flyovers, introduction of smart traffic monitors, CCTV cameras and traffic lights to the testing of new smart buses, the government has been trying to ease the traffic woes of the city.
So, be a good citizen and follow the traffic rules because, one – you should and two – the traffic police in Lucknow will make you.
