After a long wait, the real Shahenshah of Bollywood, Amitabh Bachchan will finally head to Lucknow to shoot for director Shoojit Sircar’s ‘Gulaabo Sitaabo’. The ‘Badla’ actor will be seen in the city with his co-star Ayushmann Khurrana in the quirky comedy film written by the National Award winning writer Juhi Chaturvedi.
Bachchan, who’s no stranger to Lucknow, has visited the city on several personal and professional occasions, will be shooting for a film here for the very first time.

“It’s going to be a month-long shooting schedule and the film will be shot in and around Lucknow,” a source helping with the shoot in Lucknow was quoted as saying. “It’s exciting as well as making us feel nervous to be shooting with an actor like Amitabh Bachchan. We are just wishing that the shoot goes on without any hitch because jahan Bachchan sahab shooting karenge, bheed toh aayegi hi,” he added.
Writer of the film and a Lucknowite herself, Juhi confirmed the news while speaking to TOI and said “The shooting of the film will begin in Lucknow in June end.” Recently, Ayushmann also tweeted about how happy he was to be working again with his ‘Vicky Donor’ writer and director.

Amitabh was supposed to shoot in the city way back in 2013 for Sudhir Mishra’s ‘Pehle Aap Janab’ with Rishi Kapoor. The set of the film was also partially set up in Chowk but at the last moment Mishra shelved the film.
Since then, the actor’s fans had been wishing for “Big B” Mr. Bachchan to shoot in the city; but the wait is finally over now and his fans would get to see him in the city very soon. Ayushmann Khurrana would also accompany the actor and his presence in the city would be like a cherry on top.
