He captioned the post, “This is the condition of Gayatripuram, Lucknow, after just 1 hour of rainfall,” tagging several city and state authorities as a call for action on the issue.

While the city welcomed the pleasant change in weather, which brought down temperatures, there is an urgent need for preparedness against such conditions. With more rainfall anticipated during the ongoing monsoon season, the city’s civic authorities must take measures to minimize waterlogging issues across Lucknow.

According to the recent seven-day forecast by the Meteorological Department in Lucknow, there was a reliable prediction of intense thunderstorms and rainfall in East Uttar Pradesh, including Lucknow.

The forecast indicates that the weather is expected to remain similar, with intense rainfall anticipated over the next 48 hours.
